Forty seven years after its first production, TheareInSearch is producing Shahr Gheseh based

on the original play in a new setting and for the first time with live music and players own voice.

Shahre Gheseh is a painful tale of characters whose realities are inhibited by enforced practices, values, and superstitions. Created in the narrator's mind's eyes, the characters are accustomed to their own world of trickery and deception. And one day, when a newcomer an elephant enters, these characters transform him into their own world -- the world of Shahre Gheseh.
